NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Aug. 14, 2017 — PeopleNet® (www.peoplenetonline.com), a leading provider of fleet mobility technology, today announced a collaboration with ISE, an engineering and systems integration firm that delivers innovative, end-to-end mobile and enterprise solutions, to provide compliance solutions to help fleets meet the requirements of the upcoming electronic logging device (ELD) mandate. PeopleNet and ISE are Trimble Companies.
As part of this collaboration, PeopleNet plans to integrate ISE Fleet Services’ eFleetSuite compliance applications into its existing solution, PeopleNet’s eDriver Logs®, which automates Hours of Service (HOS) and ensures a fleet’s regulatory compliance. PeopleNet’s eDriver Logs are part of its larger suite of compliance solutions, aimed at meeting industry-wide regulatory requirements while increasing a fleet’s safety and efficiency. eFleetSuite is also planned to become a core component of PeopleNet’s ConnectedFleet™ platform.
“ISE continues to offer best-in-class compliance solutions to many telematics providers in the industry and now our customers can experience the best of both worlds: the core functionality of ISE’s eFleetSuite ELD-as-a-Service and the robust platform of PeopleNet,” said Eric Witty, Vice President, Product for PeopleNet. “As our customers begin to migrate to ELDs, the combination of these two transformative products will give them access to new features while still receiving the same high level of support they’ve come to expect from PeopleNet.”
ISE is a self-certified provider on the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) ELD list and has an extensive track record of providing compliance solutions to the transportation market. ISE will continue to offer ELD-as-a-Service to telematics partners and an ELD product to provide a standalone solution to fleets and drivers to meet the requirements of the ELD mandate, scheduled to go into effect on Dec. 18, 2017.
“We are looking forward to a collaboration that gives fleets additional options to gain compliance with the ELD mandate,” said Chris Nelson, Vice President of ISE Fleet Services Division. “Through PeopleNet and ISE, we can offer best-of-breed solutions that not only meet the mandate’s requirements but also help drive improved efficiencies and increased safety.”
“By taking advantage of the ISE compliance solution to meet and exceed the requirements of the ELD mandate, PeopleNet can focus on other areas of innovation and customer needs,” said Witty. “Using ISE’s eFleetSuite and ELD-as-a-Service also allows us to serve a broader share of the market including smaller fleets with a new option that is fully backed by PeopleNet’s reputation as a trusted compliance provider.”
The collaboration between PeopleNet and ISE was announced at the 2017 in.sight user conference + expo in Nashville, jointly hosted by PeopleNet and TMW Systems.
