PeopleNet PACOS™ upgrade and eDriver Logs® integrations now available in TMWSuite Enterprise Management Software
MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. - October 19, 2006- PeopleNet today announced that TMW Systems Inc. has released integration of the latest PACOS™ geofencing and automated dispatch functionality and eDriver Logs® from PeopleNet into its product TMWSuite Management Software for Windows.
TMW Systems Inc., Cleveland, Ohio, North America's largest provider of enterprise management software to the trucking industry, supplies profit-driving solutions to companies of all sizes, operating in every segment including common carriers, brokerages, 3PLs and private fleets. PeopleNet is North America's leading provider of mobile communications, onboard computing, fleet management and GPS location services for the transportation industry.
"TMW is proud to partner with PeopleNet. We have very high standards for companies that we partner with in terms of value, customer service, and innovation. PeopleNet has continuously exceeded our expectations in all three areas," said TMW Systems' President and CEO Dave Wangler.
Through integration, TMW directly obtains information available from PeopleNet, incorporating it into the logic and presentation of the TMWSuite product. Information from PeopleNet's onboard platform flows seamlessly through TMW operations and back-office functions.
"We're very pleased our mutual customers will benefit from the integration of PACOS 2.6 and eDriver Logs into TMW's world-class transportation software," said Randy Boyles, Vice President of Integration Services for PeopleNet. "We're proud of our progressive partnership with TMW and the value it brings to customers."
PeopleNet's PACOS application delivers exception-based reporting, including automated email notification of arrivals and departures. PACOS knows when a truck has gone off route, is detained at a stop, or fallen behind schedule and automatically notifies fleet managers. This kind of exception reporting eliminates the need to constantly monitor driver progress on a route. Recently introduced, PACOS 2.6 offers a sequencing enhancement that enables managers to remotely dispatch multiple loads and/or stops to a driver so assigned work will be done in a particular order.
Cliff Viessman Inc., a food-grade bulk carrier based in Gary, South Dakota, beta tested the PACOS 2.6 integration with TMW Systems and is in the process of implementing it across its entire fleet operations. "PACOS 2.6 not only passed the entire beta testing that we performed," said David Vogt, Director of Special Projects for Viessman, "but, we were also able to immediately realize cost savings through increased data accuracy, as well as, dispatcher and driver efficiencies."
Another important upgrade available to TMW-integrated customers is PeopleNet's eDriver Logs, which now provides a running countdown of hours available to an individual driver under the applicable hours-of-service rules at any particular time in the U.S. or Canada. Flying Star out of Amarillo, Texas, hauls fuel throughout the Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Kansas area and recently implemented the eDriver Logs integration with TMWSuite.
John Lutz, Vice President of Sales and Technology at Flying Star's parent company Davidson Oil, stated that, "Having the available hours visible to both driver and management helps proactively and more efficiently manage load assignments. And using the TMWSuite email notifications, we can avoid violations and reassign loads to drivers that have the available hours from those that have reached their legal limit."
PACOS and eDriver Logs run on PeopleNet's g3 onboard computer, which also provides fleet location and wireless communications plus the patented over-the-air software updates (OTAP™), vehicle and driver performance monitoring and a wealth of additional functionality.
