PeopleNet Relocating Headquarters to 4400 Baker Road in Minnetonka
MINNEAPOLIS, June 22, 2009 - PeopleNet, the leading provider of innovative Internet-based and integrated onboard computing and mobile communications systems for effective fleet management, announced today it will move their U.S. and corporate headquarters to 4400 Baker Road in Minnetonka. PeopleNet Canada will continue to be headquartered in Burlington, Ontario.
The company has signed a 10-year, 50,731-square-foot lease, and plans to take occupancy September 1, 2009. The newly renovated building at Interstate 494 and Hwy 7 is almost double the size of PeopleNet's current home, and will house 140 employees who will have access to all campus amenities, including: walking paths, a full-service cafeteria, large training rooms, underground parking and fitness and shower facilities.
Currently located in Chaska, PeopleNet decided to move their headquarters to Minnetonka to accommodate their stable growth. In making the announcement, PeopleNet CEO Ron Konezny explained, "After achieving record revenue and subscriber growth in 2008, we are expanding our operations in a number of areas. We are committed to delivering unmatched value, and in providing our customers with solutions and service to meet their unique challenges".

The building owners were represented by NAI Welsh Senior Vice President Jim Damiani and Vice President Bryan Beltrand. 4400 Baker Road is one of two existing buildings on this site. There is currently 12,500 square feet of remaining space available for lease at 4400 Baker Road and 10,000 square feet at 4350 Baker Road, the LEED-CS Gold-level pre-certified headquarters of Welsh Companies that was built in 2008. The site is also slated for a third 125,000-square-foot office building that will seek LEED certification.
